“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.”
Proverbs 22:29
Diligent means being hardworking and focused. The bible verse for today is talking about the reward that comes with being hardworking and focused in our endeavours/businesses.
Life is guided by principles and when these principles are followed, the right outcome proceeds. Hard work + focus = Result (Success).
This is a basic principle that even unbelievers employ in their various activities which birth success at the end of the day. It’s a pity that most believers use prayers and being religious to cover their laziness. Prayers cannot be substituted for hard work. As believers, we need to step up in our games and work hard with focus and excellence, in order for us to get tangible results.
Seest a man not diligent in his business, he shall not stand before kings; he shall stand before mean men. I believe we all want to be successful and known for what we do; therefore, we should be diligent in our academics, business, work and whatever we lay our hands upon. Only with this can we prosper.
