“Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?”
Malachi 3:7
Just like every responsible father wants to have a good rapport with their children, God also longs for His children (we believers) to come to Him.
For some of us, our work and busy schedule has totally drawn us away from God. For some, it’s their sinful lifestyle. Whatever it is that might have drawn you away from God doesn’t really matter, what matters most is that you go back to Him with a sober and repentant heart.
Do you think you’ve gone too far into the world and God cannot accept you? Or you feel you are too dirty to approach Him? God isn’t looking for a perfect child. He wants to turn your mess into a message all you have to do is to crawl back to Him.
Do you remember the prodigal son? Despite all he did, His father still welcomed him and accepted him back. The love for God for us is reckless enough to save us.
Say this prayer if you want to be drawn back to Him:
Dear Father, I am sorry for my sins. I repent from them today and rededicate my life to You. Have mercy on me and wash me clean with your blood. Thank you for accepting again. I refuse to fall anymore, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
