“But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”
Job 2:10
One of the unkind attributes of humans toward God is the act of blaming Him when things go sore. As humans, all we desire, without doubt, is to experience peace, joy, good health, prosperity and all the best things life has to offer. We just want everything beautiful and rosy. And of course, who doesn’t?
But in desiring these things, we often forget that life is in phases. There are the bad times and there are good times. And sometimes, we aren’t in control of our circumstances, even after putting great measure in place.
The Bible says, in all things, give thanks – whether bad or good. The fact that you’re still alive is one special reason to give thanks. Don’t always be quick to blame God for every downtime. Those times are also important aspects of life to prepare us for journeys ahead.
Remember, life isn’t for the weak. Be prepared to face life with God in it and you won’t regret it. Don’t let the voices of people make you curse God. If Job overcame, we too can. Always see the beauty in your challenges.
