“The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.”
Ecclesiastes 7:4
This Bible verse encourages us to think about life after death and our eternal destination, emphasising the wisdom in contemplating these deep questions.
In simpler terms, it means that wise people consider the importance of where they’ll spend eternity, while fools focus only on enjoying the present moment. This reminds us to be aware of our life’s purpose.
Jesus assured us that He’s preparing a place for us and wants us to be with Him. So, it’s crucial to check if we’re on the right path and genuinely ready for His return. Although our faith in Christ gives us hope, we should regularly think about our actions and priorities.
Are we living according to Jesus’ teachings and drawing closer to the Father? Where shall we spend our eternity? Reflecting on these questions should be a daily habit, guiding our thoughts, actions, and decisions.
Christ’s return is imminent, and we need to be prepared. The urgency is now. Are we ready for His coming?
Study: Matthew 24:29-51
Action: Live everyday like it’s your last, preparing for Christ’s return.
