“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.“
Psalm 46:1
Our text for today indicates that God is always in the midst of the situation we are facing and His peace is always available for us in the midst of chaos.
God promises to continually be our refuge and strength, so we do not need to fear because we who belong to Him can commit our ways to Him and take our rest as God’s presence is with us at all times, and His help always arrives on time.
Perhaps, Jesus has asked you what you want and all you’ve said like that man by the Bethesda River is “I wish I can get someone to help me”; when you have the real help before you. May your eyes of understanding be opened to see the Help before you. May God send you timely help, and may you not use your hand to send the person away in Jesus’ name.
As believers, we should rest assured that in the midst of life’s challenges and uncertainties, we have a refuge and source of strength in God assuring us that God is our unwavering support and is constantly extending a helping hand to us whenever trouble comes knocking.
Have you been seeking help for a particular thing in a long time? Today, may help come for you.
Prayer
Lord, help me to find comfort in knowing you in the midst of life’s storm. Give me the wisdom to accept the help you offer without wavering or doubting You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
