He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

 Luke 16:10

Dear Christian, did you know that the greatest results are a cumulation of little steps and decisions? It is the little things you do and the little decisions you make today that become what everybody will celebrate or criticise tomorrow.

This is applicable to diverse areas of our lives. Your little steps can create impact that will make you into a greater person and also influence others. Hence, if all you’ve got is a little seed to sow, and you’re waiting until you have something bigger before you take a step, when harvest time comes, you wouldn’t have anything to reap because you didn’t plant that little seed; you didn’t take that course; you didn’t write that book; create that art; speak at that event and so on. If you don’t want to have regrets later, take that little step today.

If all you have to encourage another is a little word, go ahead and do it. Do not linger wishing you had a lot before you help.

Another situation is when you think you’re a saint because your sins are not known to men. It can be easy to point out the crimes of someone in a big position and throw accusations, but how about the little things you do right there in your corner? Do they not count because they don’t hurt many people? No matter how little your sins, they aren’t pleasant in God’s sight. That little sin is enough to displease God.

Remember, what is little today compounds to big portions tomorrow.

Prayer

  1. Father, help me to recognise the seeds you’ve put in my hands.
  2. Help my heart,Lord, to never look down on anything you have called blessed.
  3. Please help me to be faithful in every little thing that is given to me. And help me to avoid sins, whether little or great.
