“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”

2 Peter 3:7

The timing of God can sometimes feel distant, which might make us to lose hope after a prolonged wait. However, it’s important to remember that a thousand years to us is like a day to the Lord, and vice versa. This perspective suggests that while waiting for our desires, God is always perfectly in tune with His timing. He may be using this time to prepare your heart and build your capacity for what you long for.

It’s possible that God is guiding you on a journey of faith during this waiting period. Alternatively, the fulfillment of your request may require the involvement of other individuals who need to take active steps. If these people delay in their actions, it could prolong your journey, just as your own delay in carrying out what God has entrusted to you could hinder others.

In God’s timing, there is no such thing as lateness. He is always punctual, regardless of how much time we perceive as wasted.

When waiting for God’s timing, it’s essential to ensure that you are in alignment with Him so that you don’t miss out when the harvest time comes. Additionally, prepare yourself for what you are waiting for, as failing to do so may inadvertently delay God’s plans.

God is a wise steward of resources. He doesn’t sow seeds on rocky or sandy ground but instead plants them in fertile soil that will yield abundant fruit. God’s timing is always accurate, so it’s crucial to reflect on your own readiness and alignment with His plans.
