“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.“
Joshua 1:8
In its simplest form, good success is that which is first from God and adds no sorrow to it. It is not enough to just succeed anymore. The truth is, if it is success based on the general/world point of view, it is believed that you do not need God to achieve that. This is because those who base their success on the world’s standard don’t involve God in their matters, and they believe that their success life can only be achieved by putting enough effort into their work. These ones glorify themselves instead of God.
Do not let anyone intimidate you with achievements because they speak the loud language of success. As long as you’re a child of God, then you cannot separate Him from your efforts to succeed. He cannot be separated from who you desire to become.
Carry the banner of Jesus proudly wherever you go. Stick to His principles and make your moves deliberately by the Spirit of God. Meditate daily on His Word to know the directions of His heart. And in this, you shall have good success.
Prayer
- Dear Lord,help me not to settle for anything lesserthan your idea of success.
- Lord, help me never to mistake the fact that I’m succeeding as approval from you. Help me to remain sensitive enough to always recognise when I have faltered.
