“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:11

To rejoice in the face of false accusations, lies that smear your reputation, and evil done to you because you refuse to lower the standards God holds you to – is that possible?

Dear Believer, it is very possible. We must expect persecution to arise because of our faith and pray in advance for the grace to stand strong in the face of any challenges.

When we live for God every day, we will naturally attract some opposition. However, as peacemakers, we should not deliberately incite conflict, but rather embrace that persecution is a natural result of going against the tide. In that day, dear Christian, don’t be discouraged, for what you have is worth enduring insults and persecution.

Just ensure that your message is always and only Jesus, and if you’re persecuted for it, REJOICE!

 Prayer

Lord, help me not to ever dilute the message of salvation because I’m afraid of what someone will say. I ask for a heart that rejoices even in the face of persecution. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
