THE LORD HAS NEED OF YOU

“…Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ “

Luke 19:30-31

Did you know that everyone has a purpose to fulfill in God’s plan? When God created us, He intended for us to serve and please Him in whatever way He sees fit.

However, there are obstacles that can prevent us from fulfilling our purpose. Just as Jesus warned his disciples that they would face challenges, we too will encounter people who question our faith and act as barriers to our goals. Just like they disciples encountered those that question their reason for loosing the colt, we too will encounter people who will ask us why we are acting differently from others, and why we have carried Jesus upon our heads.

That’s why it’s important to be discerning and align ourselves with God’s plans for our lives. We cannot afford to be controlled by the world’s systems. Our time is short, and we must be ready to serve our Master.

God has positioned us in different areas of life to be useful vessels for His kingdom. If a simple colt can be useful, why can’t we? If an animal can obey its creator, so can we.

If we fail to fulfill our purpose, God will raise up others who are willing to stand for Him. Let’s be ready to face any challenges and be useful vessels for our Master.

What are those things in your life that will not allow God to use you? Tell the Lord—”Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalms 139:23-24.

Prayer

Oh Lord, my God, please search my heart and remove everything that debars me from doing your will. Make me whole again as I render myself as a colt to be ridden upon for your work of eternity. Lord, purify my heart and let it be able to lean on you forever. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

  1. Everyone and everything has a purpose to fulfill on earth.

No one is useless. No one is a waste.

God needs everyone of us to tear the walls of the enemy and expand his kingdom.

What strikes me most is “If we fail to fulfill our purpose, God will raise up others who are willing to stand for Him”.

I reminsced that I was called Iya Jesus meaning mother of Jesus. It did not from fulfilling God’s mandate over my life.

When I fulfil my purpose, I will receive commendation instead of condemnation.

What makes me glad is that heaven will rejoice when I fulfil my purpose.

  2. Amen.
I am still alive because God has work for me to do.
My refusal to do His work will not stop the work from being done, but I will not find fulfillment in anything.
I surrender all to God as a vessel fit for His use.
    Thank you.
