RECOGNISING THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.

Acts 26:16

Sometimes, one of the reasons we go through certain things is for posterity’s sake so that the people to come can have a witness who went through the same thing that’s disturbing them, yet came out on the other side a victor.

Do you know certain people will only listen to you on some issues if you provide the scars of the journey and the proof of your achievement? It is why you must pay attention to your journey. Don’t just be so caught up in the hardness and unfairness of it that you miss that lesson that will save the lives of hundreds of people if you only push through.

Look unto Jesus during periods like this and the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, and hold on to the Lord’s strength. A story is being written through your life, and you do not want to miss a front-row seat to how God unfolds it for good because you were stuck in complaints.

May God help us to stay.

Prayer

  1. Dear Father in heaven, I ask for the grace to stay in your process so that you might work in me and make me a witness and an example for generations to come, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Lord, I understand now that when I ask you to make me a voice in my generation, it might sometimes require that I go through certain things to be a valid witness to those hurting. Therefore, I ask for the grace to keep me from murmuring and that your mercy will keep me from costly mistakes in those trying times.
  3. Lord, help the gospel ministers and your children worldwide realise that you have great plans for them through using their lives as an instrument of honour. Amen.
