YOU CAN BE REPLACED

“But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.”

Acts 13:22

David waited for 15 years after being anointed before God finally put him on the throne. For that time, God kept watching Saul as he managed his position. Then, eventually, in due time, God replaced him with David—that young musician he had tormented and sought to kill several times.

One of the things that have made people become forgotten is because there was a divine replacement. When replacement happens in a man’s life, if he isn’t spiritually sensitive, he may not know because it takes a sensitive man to know when things have shifted from him to another. An insensitive man will keep doing things but won’t be heard and listened to anymore, unlike when he was still in power.

Carelessness, negligence, nonchalance, and sin have been responsible for man’s replacement. Therefore, if a man handles what has been placed in his hands carefree, without much regard, without honour, such thing can be taken from him and given to another.

Unfortunately, such a man’s replacement may not even be as experienced or as old as him. In the case of David and Saul, David was way younger than Saul; however, God had anointed him 15 years before he took the throne.

You may feel relaxed and overconfident, believing God wants to use only experienced people. If you think it is by experience, then you’re thinking wrong. The Bible already taught us that it is not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of God. We need the Holy Spirit’s guidance to help us live a reasonable and sensitive life.

What is that idea God has given you? Do you know many people have also been shown that same idea to execute? What is that book you’ve been asked to write? I have heard people lament about seeing the title of the book they had in mind being written by another person.

Are you still waiting for the right time before executing those instructions or ideas? Unfortunately, the right time may never come. You can only create the right time if you allow yourself. All you need do is prioritise the instructions and run with the vision with much vigour and the help of the Holy Ghost.

Beloved, when you start working with the mindset that God has several other people, He could give the task He’s given you but still choose to entrust you with it, you will become more intentional about carrying out God’s instructions with alacrity.

2. Appreciate Him for finding you worthy of being included in His plan.

3. Pray that He will forgive you for negligence and ask Him to wash you with His blood mercifully.

4. Pray for the grace to start executing the instructions God has given you with the speed of the Holy Spirit

5. Ask for wisdom to do God’s will without holding back.

  1. Thank you.

It’s sobering to think that I can be replaced by another person anytime God finds me wanting.

Gods business is not for time wasters, lazy or over-confident people.
