“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
Hebrews 4:13
Some years ago, I heard a story about a woman who visited her daughter in a secondary school boarding house. That day before the visiting hour, there was a PTA (Parents/Teachers Association) meeting where prevalent issues in the school were discussed. Parts of the problems addressed were lesbianism and cultism.
During the visitation, she narrated the subjects discussed during the meeting and told her something very reflective. She said, “I heard there are now lesbians and cultists in your school. You know so well that I won’t be here to watch over you to know if you’re part of them. However, if you will join them or practise what they do, make sure you do it where God’s eyes will not see you.” Then the young child looked at her mother in amazement and said, “But mum, God’s eyes can see everywhere.” “Can a man hide himself in hiding places so I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.” Jer. 23:24. No matter what we do here on earth, we cannot hide from the all-seeing eyes of God. “For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8:17
Today, desist from that path of unrighteousness. Come out from amongst them, and don’t let your heart be corrupted. You don’t have any business with unrighteousness. So, whatever you do at your workplace, home, and in society, represent God well. Some people go into a relationship to commit all sorts of sexual immoralities, yet they will still come to the presence of God as though nothing happened. God cannot be mocked. He sees everything.
That you didn’t receive instant punishment doesn’t mean God didn’t see you. Unfortunately, some ministers of God now partner with worldly people just for fame and riches. They have forgotten that they may fool their congregation but not God. See what happened to Gehazi after receiving gifts from Naaman (2 Kings 5:20-27). Even though his master wasn’t there with him, the Spirit of the living God in his master followed him. “For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes.” Proverbs 28:28.
On the great day of the Lord, there will be commotion here on earth. Those who have been living righteously will be raptured with Jesus. But those who have been neglecting the call of God to repentance shall be filled with sorrow. They will wish that the ground can swallow them up, but it won’t be possible. “and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.” Revelation 6:16.
Finally, brethren, “…while it is [still] called Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion…” Heb. 3:15; God will have mercy on you. If the vilest sinner repents, He will forgive, so why not return to your first love today, and it shall be well with you.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for preserving my life so I can have another chance to repent of my sins. I ask that you show mercy upon me, Oh Lord. My sins (say them) are enormous, and I can’t even face you. Lord, forgive me and wash me with your blood. I want to dine and wine with you in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; please help me steer clear from perdition. For I am asked in Jesus’ name. Amen.
