“And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.”

Acts 12:11

Peter’s deliverance was not only from prison but from the expectations of people who had already decided his fate. Herod planned his death, the Jews expected his execution, and the system was fully aligned against him. Yet, God intervened.

This reminds us that God is not bound by human predictions. When people conclude that your situation is over, God can rewrite the outcome. Chains may look secure, doors may appear sealed, and opposition may seem overwhelming, but divine intervention can overturn every expectation.

God rescued Peter quietly, strategically, and completely. What people expected to end in death became a testimony of deliverance. In the same way, God can deliver you from labels, verdicts, and assumptions placed upon your life.

Charge: What people expect does not determine what God has planned.
