“But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.”

Micah 3:8

Confronting sin, whether in our own lives or within the world around us, requires a strength that human boldness alone cannot produce. Sin loves darkness, and it resists exposure. This is why many avoid speaking the truth, or shy away from addressing wrong, or feel powerless to break harmful habits. But Micah understood something deeper: the courage to confront sin comes from the Spirit of the Lord.

Before we confront sin around us, the Spirit first helps us confront sin within us. He shines His light into hidden places, corrects us gently, and strengthens us to walk in righteousness. And when we must speak truth to others, He gives us the grace to do it with compassion, not condemnation.

The goal is not shame, but restoration. Not accusation, but transformation. Not pride, but obedience. When we rely on the Holy Spirit, we no longer fear rejection or conflict. We become vessels of truth — standing firm, speaking boldly, and living cleanly in a world that desperately needs God’s light.

Charge: He has given you the strength to confront sin and the courage to stand for truth.
