“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”

Habakkuk 2:14

Have you ever imagined what it would look like if the world walked in the knowledge of the glory of God? We would see freedom in thought and identity, peace replacing storms and conflicts, and deliverance from satanic oppression and manipulation. This is the power of God’s glory at work among men. Many of us have tasted this glory and experienced transformation so deep that it fuels our desire for the salvation of the earth. Indeed, the gospel saves, and just as Jesus said, His desire is that all men be saved.

To be surrounded by God’s glory is to be shielded from corruption, because nothing impure can survive where His glory dwells. In His presence, we encounter an awe that human language cannot fully express. It draws us closer to His throne, because every glimpse reveals a new dimension of Him. This is what the twenty-four elders experience in the book of Revelation—each act of worship unveils another revelation of His majesty, causing them to bow again in wonder.

When we taste the reality of God’s glory, our fleshly desires lose their strength. The appetite for sin fades, replaced by a longing for holiness. His glory becomes our place of safety, pulling us away from guilt, condemnation, and the pain that comes from the influence of darkness. In His glory, there is transformation, rest, and a covering that nothing earthly can offer.

Charge: There’s freedom in the knowledge of God’s glory.
