“Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?”

Job 40:8-9

In this passage, God responds to Job, reminding him of the vast gulf between human frailty and divine majesty. The question, “Hast thou an arm like God?” is rhetorical — it declares that no man can contend with God’s power, wisdom, or authority.

There is none like our God. His arm is mighty to save, and His judgments are perfect. Unlike men, who often act with partiality or limited vision, God sees the end from the beginning. He does not err, neither does He fail. When He speaks, the earth trembles; when He stretches forth His hand, no power can resist Him.

As believers, our confidence rests in this unmatchable God. Whatever the situation, whether in loss, uncertainty, or deep trials like Job, our assurance is that God is sovereign, just, and faithful. To recognise that “none is like our God” is to rest in His omnipotence and worship Him for who He is.

Charge: Dear child of God, none is like your God. He is unmatchable. Wipe your tears, for He always defends those who are His.
