“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Psalm 133:1.
There’s a popular English phrase that says, “A tree doesn’t make a forest.” The saying is true because a tree can only make a tree, it is only the growing of clustered trees that can make a thick forest—a home for the wild.
Unity has been the core of building successful relationships and great achievements. The creation of man was found on unity of the Trinity. It was unity that caused men to build the Tower of Babel. Even God recognized the power of their unity and decided to cause them disunity to stop them from fulfilling their plan. (Genesis 11:6-7).
Whatever two shall stand to agree upon, it becomes more easily achieved than when the strength of only one man is involved. When men stand together in unity, it becomes difficult for any man to come in between them to plant discord and hatred. Little wonder the Scripture says “One shall chase a thousand, and two shall chase ten thousand.”
Charge: Unity is a language of love, and peace is found where it abodes.
