“For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.”
Mark 4:25
Jesus addressed our responses of faith in the Bible, and it can be differentiated easily by a commendation or correction.
The first response of faith was commended by Jesus in this scripture: “Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour,” Matthew 15:28. This woman’s response of faith, was great enough for her to receive the healing she requested from Jesus.
The second response of faith was corrected by Jesus in this scripture: “Wherefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” Matthew 6:30. When our response to God is of little faith, we eventually do not receive our request from God.
We should live our daily lives conscious of God’s promise to us that our expectations shall not be cut short. The scripture also encourages us: “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith, Romans 1:17.
