“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

Colossians 1:13-14

There is a place every traveller must pass through before reaching a new destination—a transit point. It is not the final stop, yet it determines where you are going next. Spiritually, many people linger at this intersection without realising that a decisive transfer has already taken place. Colossians 1:13-14 tells us that God has not merely improved our condition; He has relocated us. Once under the dominion of darkness—bound by sin, fear, and spiritual blindness—we have been divinely transported into the kingdom of His dear Son.

This is no gradual journey; it is a supernatural shift, a crossing over that happens the moment redemption is received. Imagine a passenger rescued from a failing, dimly lit terminal and ushered into a vibrant, secure, and well-governed one. The atmosphere changes, the authority changes, and even the identity of the traveller begins to align with the new environment.

Yet, some still behave as though they belong to the old terminal—fearful, uncertain, and weighed down by what no longer has power over them. The transit point is not meant to be a place of confusion, but of clarity. You have been delivered. You have been translated. The chains that once defined you have been broken through the blood of Christ.

Let your thoughts, words, and actions reflect your new kingdom. For the wonder is not just that you were rescued, but that you now belong somewhere entirely different, under a new rule, covered by grace, and called to live as one truly free.

Charge: To live rightly, you must recognise where you now stand. You are no longer negotiating with darkness; you have been separated from its authority. The transit point is where your old identity loses its hold and your new life begins to take shape.
