“And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.”
Exodus 3:21
A young man submitted an application he was sure would be rejected because of past errors, and the officer reviewing his file had once spoken harshly about him. Yet, the officer paused, reread the documents, and signed the approval without explanation. When asked later why, he said, “I felt I should help you.” The young man was astonished, knowing the decision was based on favour, not merit.
Divine favour is God’s ability to tilt human hearts without asking their permission. It is not earned by persuasion, nor sustained by explanation. When God grants favour, resistance dissolves and doors open where locks once seemed permanent.
Israel did not negotiate with Egypt for silver and gold. God simply spoke, and the hearts of their former oppressors became instruments of divine provision. When God decides to bless you, He can use people who once limited you to advance you. Favour in the sight of men is not manipulation; it is heaven influencing earth so that God’s purposes are fulfilled without His people being emptied, ashamed, or diminished.
Charge: Favour is not merely about acceptance; it is about compensation. God restores dignity, resources, and honour through the very systems that once drained His people.

Remember: When God gives you favour, you don’t beg; you receive.
