“And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.”

Acts 10:28

Cornelius had been praying faithfully, though he felt like an outsider. Peter had been obeying God, although he was confused by the vision he had received. When their paths crossed, grace shattered labels, and the Holy Spirit fell on a people once considered unqualified. What society dismissed, God openly embraced.

Standing in Cornelius’ house, he declared, “God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.” Acts 10:28. In that moment, heaven dismantled a long-held lie. The enemy thrives on convincing believers that they are ordinary, disqualified, or second-class. Shame whispers that your past defines you and your background limits you.

But God’s truth says otherwise. In Christ, you are chosen, accepted, and set apart. When you walk in this truth, you shame the devil. Every step of obedience, every act of faith, and every refusal to accept inferiority silences his accusations. You are not common. You are God’s workmanship, called and consecrated for His glory.

Charge: Live boldly in who God says you are.
