“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

John 14:14

There’s a settled confidence that fills the heart of a man who truly believes that God listens and responds. Jesus’ words in the Scripture for today are not unclear encouragement; they are a guarantee perpetually backed by the authority of Heaven.

You have to understand that God is not distant, nor is He too busy. He hears you and more than hearing, He answers. Sometimes, the silence can be so loud, the delay can test our faith, but faith is not proven when the answer is instant; it is proven in the waiting, in the persistent asking, in the trust that even when you can’t trace Him, He is working behind the scenes.

Jesus invites us to pray in His name, in alignment with His will, His nature, and His heart. And when we do, He promises to do it.

Charge: Pray again. Ask boldly. Trust deeply in the God who answers prayer.
