“Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, Neither is there any divination against Israel: According to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”
Numbers 23:23
What a powerful declaration of divine protection! This verse came from the mouth of Balaam, a prophet hired to curse God’s people, Israel. Yet, despite every effort, He couldn’t curse them, because God had already blessed them. Our opening Scripture assures us that no evil incantations, curses, or attempts to manipulate God’s will can succeed against those who are under God’s favour.
We live in a world where people seek power in strange places—enchantments, divination, incantations. But this verse reminds us: no enchantment, no divination, no manipulation can prevail against someone God has called His own. You don’t need to fear curses when you are under the covenant covering of God’s Word because God’s power and divine plan will prevail, and any attempts to undermine His purpose will be futile.
Balaam intended evil, but God turned his curse into a blessing. Inasmuch as you are in God’s agenda for your life, no enchantment against you shall prosper. You are God’s own, and no force of darkness can undo what God has spoken over your life. When God’s hand is evident in your life, even your enemies will have no choice but to testify.
Charge: If there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer.
