“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Rest is associated with peace, ease, and refreshment. After experiencing stress in our daily lives—whether physical, spiritual, financial, or mental—we often seek rest to regain strength. While it’s true that we face stress in various areas of life, God did not create us to labour in vain.

If we don’t know God’s word for our lives in certain areas, we may live in ignorance, giving the enemy room to afflict us. Are you going through any kind of stress? Tell it to Jesus! Often, as children of God, we are quick to share our fears, worries, and burdens with people, even when we know they can’t truly provide solutions.

Beloved, we are encouraged to come boldly to God’s throne of grace, where we will obtain mercy and find help in our time of need. Nothing in this world can satisfy—Jesus is the cup that won’t run dry. As we spend quality time in God’s presence, we will find rest on all sides.

Charge: Cast all your burdens on the Lord, for He cares for you.
