This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”

Titus 3:8

There is a disorder that has become rampant in the body of Christ today, and it is the belief that because we have believed in God, we do not need to do anything else.

So, it becomes that we begin to see the ones who are Christians looking exactly like the world. This is wrong. This is not what the Bible says. As we see from our passage, there is an expectation for the ones who have believed to begin to do good works. There is an expectation that we look like Christ. There is an expectation on us to walk only by the Spirit.

It is impossible to believe in something and yet not have it show in your actions. What this means is that if you say you believe in the saving grace of Christ, and you live a life that goes against everything He has commanded, do you really believe?

We have been saved UNTO Christ, not just from our sins, and there is Grace enough at the Cross and in the person of Christ to ensure you live a life that pleases God.

Charge: The blood of Jesus is too potent to leave you the same. If you have believed, live like it.
