“When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.”

Psalm 27:10

Our scripture today comes with hope and comfort that you are never alone. As a believer, you are never to contemplate if God is with you or not. A man can indeed fail you and leave you behind, but our God has never forsaken His own. He is the Good Shepherd, and as such, He will always look after His flocks.

The Bible expressly says in Psalm 60:11 that vain is the help of man. The same Bible also says woe is that man that trusts in man. This is true because a man can change, even with it all his promises. Did you know that the Bible talks about a friend that sticks closer than a brother? Certainly, there is no such person other than our God.

A time will come when men will forsake you, even your father and mother are not excluded from that list according to our scripture. When all help fails and nothing seems to be working, at that time, you must stand firm in your faith. Trust in the Holy Spirit who is your comforter, and as Jesus has promised, He dwells with you and shall be in you.

Confession: I have the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. I can never be alone in Jesus’ name. Amen.
