BUT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD

“When Jesus heard that, he said, this sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.”

John 11:4

Isn’t it amazing how the ways of God are different from the ways of man? No matter how unpleasant the things and situations we experience are, we must not lose sight of the truth that God is with us even in that situation and wants to care for us. The truth is, there is always something God wants to bring out in every circumstance—to bring His glory out of them.

Just like Lazarus and several people in the Bible, even today, God is still turning horrible situations for the better and making glory out of them. I want you to know that in whatever situation you find yourself, God wants to make a statement out of it, and He will, if you will cooperate with Him. Perhaps there are family bills to settle, health issues, or you may even be struggling with unemployment, I want you to trust in God, knowing and believing that the loss and suffering will not be forever. It is so that His glory might be revealed.

The next time you are faced with a challenge or the enemy tries to question your faith because of the things you are passing through, be quick to remember that there is always glory after the cross. Pertinent among the questions you should be asking God is, ‘Lord, what are you doing with this matter?’, and listen to Him and you will receive strength to go through it all.
