“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.”
Zephaniah 2:3
The only way to escape the Lord’s anger is to live in total obedience to His will and commandments. A child who depends on his father for school fees and daily survival will always want to do everything to please his father. If the father asks him not to do a particular thing, he will stay away from that which his father does not like, so that his father will not be angry with him and also get him punished.
Same thing applies to us, as children of God, we are expected to live according to the standard of God’s kingdom and flee from all manner of things that do not represent Christ in our life. In Romans 1:28, God gave the people to their reprobate mind because they did not retain God in their knowledge.
Escaping the Lord’s anger requires you to appreciate God always and acknowledge the power and presence of God as Lord over your life. Escaping the Lord’s anger involves having a good relationship with the Holy Spirit. As a child of God, you must not grieve or blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Charge: Live your life daily acknowledging God as Lord over your life and be obedient to the instructions of God always.
