“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
Malachi 3:10
Tithing is giving God 10% of our income. Some people say God isn’t the one to spend the money. Truly God can’t come down from heaven to accept your tithes and take it back to heaven to spend. Never!
God is a supreme God who created all and has all in His hands. He lacks nothing and has it all. God asking us to bring tithe into His house is simply because He wants to bless us. One of the ways we can receive blessing from God is by giving towards the propagation of the gospel.
As Christians, tithing is important to fully enjoy God’s blessings. It is important and essential that we pay our tithes and be faithful with it as this is one way to provide for the men of God and the church. If you don’t tithe, God will raise other means to provide their needs, but the blessings meant for you through tithing won’t approach you.
Whether or not you pay your tithes, the work of God will be done and not delayed. So, why not be a useful vessel to get from God His promises and blessing?
