“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.”
Jeremiah 19:15
God is a loving God, He is slow to anger. But consistently and persistently living in sin is a sign of rebellion which will warrant God’s judgement over time.
In our passage for today, God has promised to bring evil upon that city because of their hardened heart and disobedience.
As believers, even though we enjoy God’s grace, we mustn’t abuse it. Apostle Paul asked the Romans a question: “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?“ The reply was:”God Forbid. How can we that are dead to sin live any longer in it?”
Sin brings judgement upon us if we don’t desist from it. Sin turns away the face of God from us. Sin profiteth nothing but brings anguish, loneliness and calamity. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
Dear beloved, will you choose life or death? Choose wisely.

Thought for the day: Sin brings judgement.
Repent today. Your life isn’t yours; it could be withdrawn today or even tomorrow. God bless you.
