“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.”
Ruth 1:16
Being a God chaser means relentlessly pursuing God’s heart, seeking the Kingdom, and its righteousness. Ruth, in her unwavering commitment, exemplifies this pursuit.
A true God chaser displays a measure of desperation, going all the way with God, steadfastly pressing until receiving all of Him. Unsatisfied with anything devoid of God, their focus is fixed on the Most High and His Shekinah Glory.
They won’t conform to the “normal” or “safe”; breaking protocols is their norm if it leads to dwelling in God’s presence.
Chasing God’s heart begins with a decision, demanding a commitment beyond the ordinary, requiring steadfast seeking. This pursuit isn’t exclusive to select believers; it’s for everyone. Let’s decide to move beyond salvation into active pursuit of Holiness, Righteousness, and all God entails.
Remember, God’s grace is sufficient. Seek Him in times of strength and weakness; let God carry you on this journey.
Consider Ruth’s outcome: “The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.” (Ruth 2:12)
God bless you.
