“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Matthew 5:6
Dear Christian, how do you perceive God? Do you think He answers your prayers or leaves them hanging?
Recognising a hunger for righteousness is simple—you see the fruits of righteousness in a person. It’s invalid to say, “I’ve hungered for righteousness but found no fruit.” That’s untrue.
Hunger is a kind of “madness” that consumes you, making you focus solely on satisfaction. So, are you genuinely hungry for righteousness, or just pretending?
Remember, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. Your role is to be hungry, to seek. Start small, like a mustard seed, but be consistent; your hunger will grow.
Don’t accept narratives calling God’s promises “impossible.” If someone says complete righteousness is impossible, tell them they haven’t hungered for it. Begin to hunger, immerse yourself in tales of righteousness in the Bible, stay in God’s presence, and be around those filled with righteousness, and witness the transformation in your life.
Prayer
Lord, I believe Your Word, and I repent for my lack of hunger for righteousness. Help me stay consistent in seeking You.
