“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.“
James 1:6
God desires trust from His children and to show that He keeps His promises. It brings Him delight when we completely rely on Him.
In contrast, there are people who doubt God’s capabilities, believing they need to assist Him in achieving things. They seek alternatives if God doesn’t act quickly, becoming frustrated when they don’t see immediate results from their prayers.
To have unwavering faith means being absolutely certain about God’s promises, even if there’s solid evidence against their fulfillment. It involves believing in God’s words, even when circumstances appear contradictory.
However, those who waver rely on physical signs. If they see a sign, they believe; if not, they doubt. As Christians, we should walk by faith, not sight.
God’s word remains reliable regardless of proof, and trusting Him leads to an adventurous journey of relying on His every word.
Prayer
Lord, I refuse to be a person that doubts you, who only believes when miracles happen. I declare that my life is stable in trusting in God. I do not live in fear of unanswered prayers because I have a Father who can do all things in His time. Father, please teach me to believe in you with my whole heart. Guide me, Lord, in this journey of constantly pleasing you. Amen.
