“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.“ Matthew 6:34
Life can be both beautiful and painful, and when uncertainty hits, it’s not uncommon for fear and anxiety to take hold. Fear of tomorrow kills our faith in today. The only fear you should allow in you is the fear of the Lord.
God doesn’t want our joy and peace to be diminished by fear as it is not part of His original plan for us. Fear comes in to make one’s faith sink, fear comes to make you feel less of what God has made you to be. It comes to nullify and trash one’s confidence and purpose.
So, beloved, anytime fear comes your way again, confront it. Let it know that it got no hold of you and remind it of how God is so concerned about you. Also, remember that the devil has no power over you because your heart is deeply rooted in faith. You are engraved in God’s palm so don’t give less of what He has made you to be. Look that fear in the eye now and say you have no power over me as long as God is alive!
Prayer
- I am made for more so I have no fear of the future.
- I refuse to allow fear keep me ground or make me settle for less.

Fear is destructive. It kills our faith in God. The only fear we should allow is the fear of God. This is really profound.
