“So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
2 Kings 6:16
In the passage here, the servant of the man of God was fretting because there seemed to be so many out to destroy them while they had seemingly little men in comparison. It was until Elisha asked God to open his eyes that he saw that what they had far outweighed what their opponent could boast of.
Are you like the servant in this passage, dear Christian? Are the struggles and opposition you face so mighty that you feel you cannot pull through? Do you feel discouraged that you have no one on your side?
Here’s what is true, in Deut. 31:8 the Bible says, “And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
The truth is that you are not without help. You are not without backing. You have the mighty Lord of Hosts on your side. You have His favour and provision. So, do not feel like all hope is lost no matter what you’re facing. Ask the Lord to open your eyes so you may see and walk in the victory He has already secured for you.
May we not carry our weights alone when the Lord of Hosts, Lion of the tribe of Judah, Alpha Omega and Jehovah Jireh Himself is right there with us. Amen.
Prayer
Lord, help me to see what you have already provided for me, and help me to learn to walk in it accurately. Open my eyes to see your goodness that I may proclaim your glory throughout thr world. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!
